Preparation: The "Memory Game" is very straightforward and easy to play at any dinner party. No preparation is required. All you need is a good memory. It's best played before anyone has had too much time to drink too much. If you leave it until later in the evening you won't get very far!
To Play: One guest is chosen to start off by saying something they would "bring to the party". It could be anything they like e.g. "I came to the party and brought a box of chocolates". Or "I came to the party and brought a bunch of flowers". You get the idea!
The next guest has to add another thing to the previous guest's item e.g. 'I came to the party and brought a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine'. The more ridiculous the item the easier it is to remember and adds to the fun. This continues to build as you go around the table with guests adding an item at every turn they take.
As the list gets bigger and bigger someone will not be able to remember all the items and then has to drop out of the game. The winner is the last person who can remember the most items in the correct order.
This is about as easy as it gets. Ideal for off the cuff or impromptu occasions when maybe the conversation dries up.
